MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The Carson-Newman Cheerleading Squad took home first place honors in both the Game Day and Rally Routine for Division II.
Carson-Newman defeated three teams in the Division II co-ed group, including rival Tusculum College.
Head Coach Christy Bowlin said, "It was a great day for the Eagles! We soared!"
Carson-Newman's Mascot Talon earned most improved, while the team as a whole received a Silver Paid Bid to National Cheerleaders Association Nationals (NCA).
There were a total of 26 teams at the NCA July Myrtle Beach camp.
