From now until Jan. 1, the Carson-Newman Athletic Communications Department will debut the Frosty Award nominees for the fall semester. These are the fall nominees for Coach of the Year. Christmas Eve, we'll unveil the candidates for Team of the Year.
The fourth annual Frosty Awards will take place in April and honor athletic excellence in Carson-Newman's athletic department.

Coach
Richard Moodie: Coach Moodie the guided the women's soccer team to the South Atlantic Conference regular season and tournament titles, as well as an appearance in the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year. They also captured the 12th NCAA Tournament victory in program history by knocking off third-seeded and nationally ranked Limestone, 2-0, in the first round. The women finished year with a 17-4-1 record and received votes in the final NSCAA poll of the season.
Randy Wylie: Coach Wylie's group is currently receiving votes in the Golf Coaches Association of American Coaches poll and they also own the third-best scoring average in the SAC. Three Carson-Newman golfers are in the conference's top 10 in scoring average as Dalton Reese sits in seventh, Jake Headrick is in eighth and Tom Forster is in 10th.
Suzanne Strudwick: Coach Strudwick's squad earned the top spot at the King University Invitational in September, finishing three strokes ahead of the host school, the King Tornado. One of Strudwick's pupils, junior Elizabeth England (Oakland, Tenn.) claimed the top spot on theindividual leaderboard, tying the conference record with a second-round 68. This was the fourth time in the history of the program the Eagles won a tournament in which one of their student-athletes also won the individual title.
Jordan Taylor: Taylor has gotten off to a great start in his first season as coach of the swim team. In his team's first three dual meets this season, an Eagle has finished first in 70 out of 72 races and 62 straight, as C-N topped Limestone, the University of the Cumberlands and King (Tenn.). During the Bearcats Midseason Invitational in November, Taylor saw his troops break eight program record and they also earned eight first place finishes in a competition with the Cincinnati Bearcats, a Division I program. The women finished ahead of another Division I team during the meet, besting the Indiana State Sycamores.
