Tom Read: Read (London, England) earned a spot on the SAC first-team following a regular season in which he led the conference and finished tied for fifth in Division II with 12 assists. He also totaled five goals to give him 22 points on the season, tied for the fifth-most in the SAC. The junior put together his best performance on Sept. 10th in a 7-0 C-N win over Flagler. He tied a 20-year-old program record for assists in a game with four, matching a mark set by German Arguelles in 1995, and also added a goal. Read had multiple assists in a game four times this season.

Antonio Wimbush: A first team All-SAC selection, Wimbush piled up 941 yards rushing and nine touchdowns to lead the Eagles' veer-option attack.  The sophomore tallied four 100-yard rushing performances on the year, including a career best 148 yards in the opener against Humboldt State.  Wimbush closed the season with three straight 100-yard games.

Charles Clark: Clark has done Charles Clark-things at the start of his junior year.  A preseason All-American, the Murfreesboro, Tenn. native is the South Atlantic Conference's leading scorer at 20.9 points per game.  The guard is shooting 55 percent from the field and 44 percent from three-point range.  Clark has gone off for 26 twice in the Eagles' first 11 games.  He scored 26 in the Eagles' whipping of Newberry at Eleazer Arena and 26 in the Eagles' thrilling 111-109 overtime win over Lincoln Memorial.  He has a streak of 43 consecutive games in which he has scored double figures dating back to his freshman year.  He's scored at least 20 six times to start his junior year, and 33 times in his career.

Kevin Snead: A year after claiming three All-American crowns during his debut season in the Orange & Blue, senior sprinter Kevin Snead looks to become the most decorated track and field athlete Carson-Newman has ever seen. After taking home an All-Southeast Region honor and All-American honor for the 60 meter dash in 2015's indoor campaign, Snead improved upon his Southeast Region Track Athlete of the Year plaque he received at the end of the outdoor season with two more All-American awards in the summer of 2016 at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships. The Richmond, Va. native claimed the bronze in the 200 meter dash (20.75 seconds.) and fifth in the 100 meter dash (20.37 seconds). Later in the summer, Snead competed at the Bahamas Olympic Trails on June 24 only to come home with top-three finishes in both the 100 and 200 meters.

Marcelo Figueiredo: The sophomore swimmer began the season by finishing second in the Open Water Championships in a field of more than 30 swimmers, including Division I student-athletes. He claimed victory in five races during C-N's first three dual meets, including a three win performance against King (Tenn.) on Nov. 4th. For his efforts against the Tornado, Figueiredo (Porto Alegre, Brazil) was named Bluegrass Mountain Conference Swimmer of the Week for the week of Novemver 7th- 13th. During the Bearcats Midseason Invitational in Cincinnati in November, he twice broke the program record in the 500 free. He also set a new program mark in the 1650 free, shaving nearly 30 seconds off the previous C-N record time.
