Each Sunday during the 2016-17 school year, the Carson-Newman athletic communications department will shine a spotlight on a current or former Carson-Newman student-athlete looking to tell a tale of life outside of his or her respective sport.
For the past 39 semsters head Track and Field coach David Needs has been teaching the fencing class at Carson-Newman. The class is open to both student-athletes and non-athletes, which makes for interesting dynamics during the competition phase of the class.
