Wottreng cleans up in CoSIDA Publications & Digital Design Contest

ORLANDO – Carson-Newman assistant director of athletic communications Michael Wottreng brought home a haul in 2016-17 CoSIDA Publications and Digital Design Contest.

The Marquette graduate was lauded thrice, in the categories for Game Notes Fall Sports – College, Game Notes Spring Sports – College, and Video Feature – College #2.

Wottreng took first in the spring sports game notes category for his work on Carson-Newman's baseball game notes.  He finished third in the fall sports game notes category for his volleyball notes.  Finally he finished second for one of his video features that aired during the Ken Sparks Show in the fall.

These are Wottreng and the C-N Athletic Communications Department's first wins in the competition in the last five years.

Wottreng joins the "Voice of the Eagles" Adam Cavalier among athletics communications staffers receiving recognition from CoSIDA. Cavalier won two Fred Stabley Writing Awards in May.
