Fall Frosty Awards Nominees: Male Newcomer of the Year

From now until Jan. 2, the Carson-Newman Athletic Communications Department will debut the Frosty Award nominees for the fall semester.  These are the fall nominees for Male Newcomer of the Year. Saturday, we'll unveil the candidates for Coach of the Year. 

The sixth annual Frosty Awards will take place in late April and honor athletic excellence in Carson-Newman's athletic department.

MALE NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR

Kensho Yoshikoshi (Men's Soccer): In his first season at Mossy Creek, Yoshikoshi started in all 17 appearances he made on the pitch. The junior split time at the midfielder and defender positions, accounting for two goals. His first goal came in a 2-1 win over Alabama Huntsville on Sept. 29 before scoring another in a 3-1 win over Queens on Oct. 13. He recorded two assists on the season, as well, giving him six points.

Drew Bridge (Men's Soccer): The junior started in nine of his 11 appearances during his first season at Carson-Newman. In that time, he netted a goal in the regular season finale to help Carson-Newman secure a spot in the South Atlantic Conference tournament. The defender also accounted for an assist on the year, giving him three points.
