From now until Jan. 2, the Carson-Newman Athletic Communications Department will debut the Frosty Award nominees for the fall semester. These are the fall nominees for Female Performance of the Year. Tuesday we'll unveil the candidates for Female Athlete of the Year.
The sixth annual Frosty Awards will take place in late April and honor athletic excellence in Carson-Newman's athletic department.

FEMALE PERFORMANCE OF THE YEAR
Morgan Ballard (Volleyball) v. Lenoir-Rhyne on Oct. 5: Morgan Ballard recorded her third-career 50-dig night with 51 against the Bears on Oct. 5, the second-most in a Division II match this year. The Eagles picked up a win in five frames as the team racked up a season-high 129 digs. Bloomsburg's Alyssa Cianciulli had 52 in four sets against West Virginia Wesleyan on Sept. 8.
Kayla Marosites (Women's Basketball) at Columbus State on Nov. 25: Kayla Marosites ripped down a career-high 22 rebounds to establish a new high mark for the program in an 88-83 loss at Columbus State on Nov. 25. It set a new C-N record that she held when she recorded 21 against North Georgia in the 2018 Southeast Region Final on on March 12. The guard had eight offensive boards on the night. She also scored 17 points going 9-for-10 from the foul line for her 16th career double-double.
Haris Price (Women's Basketball) v. Clayton State on Nov. 20: In a 90-86 victory over Clayton State on Nov. 20. Haris Price led all players with 31 points scoring 27 after halftime adding six assists. She went 14-for-14, 10 of which came in the final 2:16, from the free-throw tying the C-N record for makes in a game and makes without a miss set first by Kim Weens on Jan. 20, 1987 against Lee. Andrew Fitzgerald went 14-for-17 from the stripe against Newberry on Jan. 28, 2004.
Maeve Cummins (Women's Golf) at King Invitational: Playing as an individual in the event, the freshman won the top medalist crown by the end of the two rounds with a four-over total of 146. She was the best par-4 and par-5 scorer at three-over and two-under, respectively. She also shot a field-high seven birdies throughout the event. With the win, Cummins became the first Carson-Newman freshman to win an event since Elizabeth England at the Newberry/Carson-Newman duel on Feb. 2, 2015.
Rachel Strayer (Cross Country) at Queens Royals Challenge: Strayer ran into the record books at the Queens Royals Challenge on October 12th. The true freshman finished in 31st place out of 412 runners at the competition and set the school record for the 5-kilometer distance with a time of eighteen minutes and thirteen seconds shaving a full ten seconds off her previous personal best time.
Magda Mosengo (Soccer) v. Coker: Mosengo put together a hat trick with an assist in C-N's drubbing of the Cobras at McCown Field. The London, England product collected her three goals in the span of 8:40.
Allie-Anne Blackburn (Soccer) v. Lees-McRae: Blackburn scored her first-career hat trick and C-N's first of the 2018 year in a 7-0 win over Lees-McRae. Entering the day, the forward had just two goals to her resume, doubling the total in a span of three minutes.
