Dance finishes in top 10 at UDA nationals
ORLANDO, Fla. - Carson-Newman's dance team brought home some hardware following the cheer and dance team's weekend at the UCA and UDA College Nationals at Walt Disney World Resorts.

ORLANDO, Fla. - Carson-Newman's dance team brought home some hardware following the cheer and dance team's weekend at the UCA and UDA College Nationals at Walt Disney World Resorts.
The dance team scored a 84.3 in the pom division to make the national finals where they finished in the top 10 in the country among FCS, D2, D3, NAIA and JUCO schools. The dance team tallied an 83.7 to secure the finals trophy.
Cheer competed in the Open Game Day Division where teams are given situational cues that allow them to show game day material such as fight songs, a timeout performance and a sideline chant. The cheer team produced a score of 81.43 and a top-15 finish.
