Freeman nets CoSIDA Academic All-District track accolade

ORLANDO, Fla. – Carson-Newman track and field's Randall Freeman (Ooltewah, Tenn.) has earned Academic All-District honors from CoSIDA for a second consecutive year. 

Freeman already earned Academic All-America honors from the organization earlier this year as a running back on the Carson-Newman football team.

Freeman is a graphic design major who graduates from C-N with a 3.88 GPA.

On the field of  competition, Freeman earned SAC Field Athlete of the Year honors and was the conference champion in the shot (14.58 meters) and the javelin (51.91 meters)

He garnered All-region honoree in the shot, triple jump, javelin and discus. Freeman was one of 14 athletes in the nation to earn all-region honors in four disciplines.
