BOONE, N.C. - Freshman Brooke Earhart (Dixon, Tenn.) ran a 20:15
race this evening, leading the Lady Eagles in the Mountaineer Open,
hosted by Appalachian State. The Lady Eagles finished 8th, 4th
among non-Division I schools. Jonathan Madden (Franklin, Tenn.) led
the men's team, with a 22:59 finish.
Led by Earhart, the Lady Eagles scored 232 points, with an 8th
place finish. Following Earhart was Meredith Nix (Walhalla, N.C.),
finishing at 21:35. Brining in the third finish was junior Catelyn
Dake (Knoxville, Tenn.) at 22:56.
For the Eagles individually, Kody Pierson (Middletown, Ohio)
followed Madden with a finish at 24:47. Pierson was followed by
Wyatt Miles (Long Island, Va.) at 25:58.
The Eagles will travel to Evansville, Indiana on Septemeber 26 to
compete in the University of Southern Indiana Invitational.
