Eagles compete at the Orange/Blue Meet at Greene Farm

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn – The Carson-Newman cross country program participated in the Blue/Orange 4k Meet Saturday morning at Greene Farm in Hamblen County.

Freshmen Lachlan Dickie and Tori Gaul placed the quickest times for males and females respectively. Dickie led the team with a time of 14:10.84, while Gaul placed, posted a time of 19:39.75.

Sophomore Nick Guerra ran the second-fastest male time, followed by Tyler Johnson and Patrick Stump. Alec Bross and Josh Marsh posted the fifth and sixth-fastest times.

Senior Mark Edwards and Joshua Simpson-Beavers rounded out the men's competiton.

For the women, sophomore Sara Honaker posted the second-fastest time, with a 19:48 run. Hannah Kiser, Sarah Sharp and Amber Farmer rounded out the top-five.

Storyie Miller finished sixth with a time of (22:51.97), while Rachel Hutson and Aiyana Martino completed the female field.

The Eagles' first meet is September 6 in Knoxville, Tenn. as they participate in the Victor Ashe Meet at Victor Ashe Park.
