Eagles and Mountain Lions pushed back to Wednesday

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Tuesday's scheduled game between the Carson-Newman Eagles (9-6, 5-1 South Atlantic Conference) and the Young Harris Mountain Lions (6-5, 0-3 Peach Belt Conference) has been postponed until Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m. due to possible inclement weather.

The Eagles are coming off a series victory over Brevard, taking two of three from the Tornados over the weekend.

The win gives Carson-Newman two series victories to begin SAC play after sweeping Tusculum last weekend, and the Eagles are the first SAC team to post five wins in conference play.

In Sunday's win, the Eagles trailed 4-1 going into the fifth inning before scoring six runs over the next four frames to collect the 7-5 victory.

The Mountain Lions are 6-5 to begin the season but were swept over the weekend by Lander to begin conference play.

Carson-Newman will next play at home next weekend with a three-game series against Lenoir-Rhyne on Friday and Saturday at the Silver Diamond Baseball Complex.
