SALISBURY, N.C. - With rain pelting Newman Park over the last 24 hours and a high probability of inclement weather in the forecast, the Carson-Newman Eagles and Catawba Indians have cancelled a doubleheader that was scheduled to take place Saturday afternoon.
The Eagles finish the 2014 South Atlantic Conference with an 11-17 league record that currently has Carson-Newman sitting in ninth place.
Carson-Newman has one game remaining on its schedule, a 3 p.m. first pitch against Shorter on April 30.
