Baseball postpones King game to April

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - With a bevy of precipitation falling in East Tennessee during a 72-hour stretch, Carson-Newman baseball has elected to postpone a game against King (Tenn.) originally scheduled for Feb. 16 to April 5 at 3 p.m. at the Silver Diamond Baseball Complex.

The Eagles were forced to cancel the second game of a doubleheader on Sunday due to snowy conditions and the Carson-Newman campus was closed Monday due to rain and temperatures topping out in the mid-40s on the day.

Coach Tom Griffin's group will be back in action on Friday with the first two games of a four-game series against Northwood (Mich.) beginning at 1 p.m. Video and audio streams will be available for each game of the weekend on the Eagle Sports Network.
