Baseball pushes King contest to Wednesday

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - With an influx of rain in the East Tennessee Region falling and in the forecast for Tuesday afternoon, Carson-Newman and King (Tenn.) have moved Tuesday's game to Wednesday at 3 p.m. at King Baseball Field.

This is the fourth time in 2016 that the Eagles have had to shuffle their schedule which includes moving the King home game from Feb. 16 to April 5.

The Tornado's Ryan Whitt was named the Tennessee Sportswriters' Association Baseball Player of the Week Tuesday morning.

The contest will be broadcast on cneagles.com/live beginning at 2:50 p.m. as Eric Cain will provide play-by-play commentary on the Eagle Sports Network.
