Lions and Eagles cancel series finale

MARS HILL, N.C. - After heavy rainfall Sunday, Carson-Newman and Mars Hill have cancelled the series finale slated for Monday with no make-up to finish the series per South Atlantic Conference rules.

The Eagles and Lions have not been able to complete a series at Henderson Field for the second-straight time as the teams were limited in 2017 as well. C-N captures a series sweep to open the SAC schedule for the ninth time in school history.

Coach Tom Griffin's crew hits the road on Tuesday to take on Young Harris for a 4 p.m. first pitch against the Mountain Lions.
