Miller is entering his first year of coaching coming to Carson-Newman after a stand out career at Anderson University.  In the 2018-2019 campaign he will be assisting Coach Griffin with outfielders and hitters.

The Anderson, S.C. native was twice named South Atlantic Conference Honorable Mention as a shortstop and added a Gold Glove to his accolades his senior year.  During his Gold Glove campaign Miller tallied 144 assists and finished the year with a .939 fielding percentage.  Offensively, Miller ranks in the top ten of five different categories at Anderson: 235 hits (7th), 113 walks (4th), 23 hit by pitches (2nd), 718 at bats (5^th), and 153 runs (7^th). 

Miller comes from a family of collegiate coaches.  His grandfather, the late Clyde Miller, amassed over 800 victories as a head coach finishing up his career at Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC.  His father, Joe Miller, is entering his 23rd year as head coach at Anderson University.
