Hoops alum Davis named Regionalliga Player of the Year

BONHEIM, Germany – Carson-Newman men's basketball alum Antoine Davis has been named Player of the Year in his first season of professional basketball in Germany's Regionalliga.

Davis is also a first team All-Regionalliga selection.

Davis averaged 26 points, seven rebounds and 2.8 assists per game for the Sechtem Toros.

The Rustburg, Va.-native had his best game of the season against Grevenbroich when he dropped 42 points in a 90-78 Toros' win.

He had eight games on the plus side of 30 points and shot 54 percent from the field, 42 percent from three and 83 percent at the free throw line.

Davis is Carson-Newman's all-time Division II leader for scoring average, scoring 18.2 points per game in his Carson-Newman career.

He's in the top 10 in Carson-Newman's all-time scoring list and number two since the team moved to Division II with 1,526 career points.
