Slew of promotions set for Saturday’s football game with Catawba

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman's athletic department will showcase several promotions for Saturday's home football game against Catawba.

Because of a downpour last Saturday, "Take A Kid to the Game" Day has been set for Saturday's contest.

As such, children 13 and under will be admitted free. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. at Burke-Tarr Stadium on the C-N campus.  Gates open at 11:30.

The stadium will be filled with activities for kids of all ages including blow-up slides, bouncy house, temporary C-N tattoos, free cookies, balloons, and much more. Activities for kids are provided by the U.S. Army

The best dressed Carson-Newman fan who shows the most "Eagle Spirit," in their costume will win a $25 gift card to Zaxby's.

Adult ticket prices are $10, $12, & $18.

For tickets or group rate information contact Doodle Johnson at (865) 471-3396 or email her at djohnson@cn.edu.

In addition, Saturday's game is a "Pink Out," where fans are encouraged to where pink in support of breast cancer awareness.

Finally, Carson-Newman's coaching staff will be wearing Coach to Cure Muscular Dystrophy patches.  This is the sixth year that the American Football Coaches' Association and Carson-Newman have worked toward the cause to battle Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

Eagle fans can donate to research for Duchenne MD by either going online to coachtocuremd.org or by texting the word CURE to 90999 (a five dollar donation will automatically be added to your next phone bill.)
