Andy Hibbett's performance against Mars Hill was one of a slew of record-breaking performances for the Gibbs graduate in his senior year.  Hibbett earned SAC, Bojangles and USA Football national player of the week honors after he rushed seven times for 191 yards and three scores.  His 27.3 yards per rush is the second highest total among running backs with more than five carries in a game.  Hibbett's three touchdowns all came in the second half and helped put the game out of reach. His first score came on a 58-yard dive, his second on a 65-yard scamper and his third on a 55-yard pitch that started to the right and finished with Hibbett meandering his way back left across the field to the pylon for a score.

De'Andre Thomas goes wild at Catawba

De'Andre Thomas garnered SAC, Bojangles and TSWA player of the week accolades after he led C-N to a 35-33 win over the Catawba Indians.  Thomas set a career high for rushing touchdowns with four and also found the end zone once through the air.  He piled up 291 yards of total offense, a season high 104 on the ground and a season high 173 through the air.

The game marked his ninth career game with multiple rushing touchdowns and his fourth with three or more. He crested the century mark on the ground for a fourth time (the Eagles are 4-0 all-time when he goes over the century mark).  His five total touchdowns match the career high five he scored (three rushing, two passing) in the Eagles' regular season finale at Wingate last season.

Paul Ungur @ the Fall Frenzy

Ungur's performance in Charlotte is the best individual performance in the short history of the Carson-Newman swim program. He set the first two "A" times in school history in the 100 and 200 Backstroke. He broke six school records and added three more "B" times to his accolades. Along with the records in the two Backstroke events, he now has records in the 100 Fly, 200 Medley Relay, the 400 Medley Relay and the 400 Free Relay. To cap off the weekend, he won the program's first-ever race at a major meet in the 100 Backstroke.

Nick Kennedy at North Georgia Fall Invitational

It took Nickalus Kennedy four extra holes, but the Carson-Newman junior won the North Georgia Fall Invitational with a seven-under 209.Kennedy's final-round 69 placed him into a sudden-death playoff with Georgia Southwestern State's Chris Low. Four pars on four consecutive holes propelled Kennedy to the tournament win. Kennedy's win was the first individual win for a men's golfer since Gavin Hay won the Tusculum Invitational in March 2013.

Andy Hibbett takes down Tusculum

In a rivalry game when the lights were brightest, Andy Hibbett did evil, unspeakable things to the Tusculum Pioneers. Hibbett turned in a 221-yard performance in the Eagles' 55-35 win over Tusculum.  He toted the rock 30 times and scored three touchdowns.  The trio of scores all came in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach.  Hibbett slogged his way through the mud for the 14th-best single-game rushing tally in Carson-Newman football history.  His 221 yards narrowly edged out the last 200-yard game for the Eagles, a 219-yard day for Brandon Baker in C-N's season opening win over Glenville State in 2012.   The senior from Gibbs 30 carries were also the most by an Eagle ballcarrier since quarterback Brandon Haywood ran 34 times in a second round playoff win over Lenoir-Rhyne on November 23, 2012.   Hibbett earned SAC and Bojangles Athlete of the Week honors following his efforts.

Carson Brooks can't miss at Barton

Quite simply, the basket was the size of a hula hoop for Carson Brooks when the Eagles opened the season at Barton.  The junior from Knoxville, Tenn. connected on a South Atlantic Conference and school record 12 shots without missing a field goal.  Brooks was dominant in and around the paint.  He scored six of his 26 points on dunks, eight on layups and 10 on jumpers.  The other two points came at the foul line.  Brooks' 26 points was also a career high.

Lachlan Dickie runs fast against Maryville

Dickie won his first-ever event as an Eagle at the Maryville Duel Meet with a time of 20:46.56. He was one of the four Carson-Newman runners to finish in the top-five.

Alex Naric puts the nail in Trevecca Nazarene

Naric scored two goals in a trip to the Midstate as the Eagles faced the Trevecca Nazarene Trojans. Naric opened the scoring in the fifth minute with a header of a Rurik Pereria cross. He tallied his second goal 28 minutes later after striker Marius Staalby found Naric alone in the box for a strike that found the back of the net.
