STORYLINES
• Carson-Newman's loss to Wingate means C-N has three home losses for the first time since the 2010 season. The Eagles lost at home that year to Wingate, Lenoir-Rhyne and Winona State.
• Carson-Newman is guaranteed a losing record in the South Atlantic Conference for the first time since 2011 and the third since 1979. Carson-Newman needs to win out to avoid its second losing season since 1978.
• Saturday is homecoming for Carson-Newman. The Eagles have won four straight homecoming contests dating back to a 42-14 loss to UNC Pembroke on homecoming in 2011.
• Carson-Newman punter Jonathan King has averaged 43.6 yards per boot this season. That figure ranks sixth in all Division II. If King didn't punt again, his average would rank as the third best single-season average in Carson-Newman football history.
• Limestone leads the country in defensive touchdowns this season. The Saints have seven scores by way of the defense. 24.9 percent of the Saints scoring has been done by the defense this season. PJ Brown and Joshua Simmons both have a pair of interception returns for scores for the Saints.
• The Saints lead the country this season with 28 turnovers forced. Jaylen Miller is third in the country with three fumble recoveries. Brown has five interceptions, putting him sixth in the country. Simmons is second nationally with six. Simmons also ranks 13th with a trio of FR.

STORYLINES
• Wingate has the advantage in the all-time series history having won 44 of the 68 all-time meetings between the two schools including three straight victories in the series.
• The 'Dogs swept C-N in the first meeting this year pounding out a .213 attack percentage with 61 digs, nine service aces and three total blocks compared to a .071 hitting clip, 49 digs, four service aces and three blocks.
• Wingate enters the weekend having won three straight matches since losing to Anderson and Newberry. The night before coming to Mossy Creek, the Bulldogs will battle Lincoln Memorial in a match that should determine the regular season champion.
• The Bulldogs lead the conference in nine different statistical categories ranking 15th nationally with 14 kills per set and 22nd in the country in attack percentage.
• Abby Saehler is second in the league in kills per set with 3.38 and Lynnlee Mather is third in attack percentage at .298 and four in blocks per set with 0.99.
