FRANKFURT, Germany - Carson-Newman football alum Aaron Seward (Charlotte, N.C.) has turned pro.

The former Carson-Newman wide receiver has signed a professional contract to play football overseas for the Frankfurt Pirates of the Regionalliga Mitte.

Seward joins former quarterback Alex Good as the most recent Eagle to play in Europe.  Good was the starting quarterback for the Danube Dragons of the Austrian Football League two years ago.

Seward concluded his Carson-Newman football career with 924 yards receiving.  His senior year was unquestionably his best.  He caught 23 passes for for 464 yards and three touchdowns.  He had a season-best three catches for 94 yards in a loss to Newberry and caught at least one pass in every game for the Eagles.
