Men’s soccer treks to King University

BRISTOL, Tenn. – Carson-Newman (2-2) heads to King (1-3-1) tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. for its third consecutive away match.

The Eagles are coming off a tough 2-0 loss to Catawba last Saturday. Carson-Newman outshot the Indians 11 to 8. Marius Staalby (Trondheim, Norway) and Lucas Siqueira (Sao Paulo, Brazil) both had two shots, both of which were on frame. Bonilla led the Indians in shots with four taken and two on frame.

"If you leave a team like Catawba hanging around, they'll score two breakaways," Moodie said. "They wanted it more than us."

King defeated Pfeiffer 1-0 on Saturday. Ryan Murphy and Thomas Dube both took two shots landing both of them on net. Dube scored his first goal of the season off a lead pass from Pete Griffith to win the game for the Tornadoes.
