C-N’s Ross Frame claims his third SAC POW award

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Ross Frame (Welshpool, Powys, United Kingdom) of the Carson-Newman men's soccer team snagged his second consecutive and third of the year SAC Player of the Week award.

"Winning three times in one month is pretty impressive," Carson-Newman head soccer coach Richard Moodie said. "He deserves it. We're definitely proud of him."

Last week, Frame added three points to his name. He scored the game winning goal against no. 11 Queens in the 90th minute on Saturday and assisted the game winning goal against Mars Hill in the 90th minute on Wednesday.

"He scored that final goal for the 2-1 victory over Queens on McCown field last Saturday," Moodie said. "That's enough right there to make him player of the week."

Frame won Player of the Week for the first time on Oct. 8. He was Carson-Newman's first men's soccer honoree since 2010.

Frame is leading the conference with 35 points. He holds the top spot in assists with nine and is currently second in goals with 13.

"There's not much more you can say," Moodie said. "He works hard. He's a great play and a great kid. The kid's amazing."

He has released 58 shots ranking him third in the SAC; With 36 shots on goal, he holds a shot percentage of .621.

On a national level, Frame is seventh in points per game, tied for sixth in overall points, tied for ninth in assists per game, tied for 13th in goals per game.

"There are still two games left," Moodie said. "He's not done scoring."
