Eagles gained regional recognition in both the NCAA and NSCAA polls

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Carson-Newman (11-4, 7-3 SAC) men's soccer has made its way to the fourth place spot on the NCAA Southeast Region poll and is in at ninth for the NSCAA Southeast Region rankings in both polls' latest iterations.

Flagler claimed the top spot for the NCAA poll. Limestone and Lander landed the second and third places respectively.

Fellow SAC members Wingate, Queens and Anderson were named to the NCAA poll. Wingate took the fifth spot right under C-N; Queens and Anderson were named seventh and eighth respectively.

For the NSCAA poll, Young Harris leads the pack with a record of 13-1. Young Harris defeated C-N 3-2 on Oct. 2.

Limestone rounded the poll at no. 2 with an 11-2 record.

Three other SAC teams made the list: Wingate seized the third position, Queens came in at seventh and Lincoln Memorial bottomed the list at no. 10.

Carson-Newman is currently third in the SAC and is guaranteed a spot and a home game in the conference tournament. The Eagles go into their final match of regular season against Anderson Saturday at 3:30 p.m. If C-N can pull out a victory, a conference title could be in the works if Queens loses to Lenoir-Rhyne and LMU either ties or defeats Wingate.
