Three Lads named to All-Southeast Region team

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – The Carson-Newman men's soccer team landed three players on the 2013 NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA DII Men's All-Southeast Region team.

 

Ross Frame (Welshpool, Powys, United Kingdom) and senior captain Rumwald Le Guevel (Vannes, France) received first team honors while sophomore Sindre Welo (Trondheim, Norway) made second team.

 

Frame currently holds 19 goals, three of which were game winners, 11 assists and 49 points on the year. He is just four goals away from the C-N single season record. His 46 points are the most in a single season for Carson-Newman this century and third most all-time.

 

Nationally, Frame is tied for fifth in goals and tied for seventh in assists.

 

Frame received the 2013 All-Southeast Region Player of the Year and was named to the Daktronics All-American second team. He is C-N's first All-American since 2008 and the program's 10th overall. 

 

Frame was also named SAC Player of the Year. Throughout the course of the season, Frame received three Player of the Week awards. He was Carson-Newman's first men's soccer player of the week honoree since 2010.

 

Le Guevel has been the starting keeper for the Eagles both of his seasons at C-N. With 93 saves on the season, he holds a .795 save percentage.

 

Welo currently has seven goals, including two game winners, eight assists and 22 points. He is tied for 27th in the nation in assists.
