KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Carson-Newman remains in the national rankings for a second-straight week, moving up four spots to No. 13 in United Soccer Coaches' poll.

This is the first time since Nov. 4, 2015 that the Eagles have crossed the top 15 threshold, sitting at No. 14 in the land. The latest ranking matches the highest the Eagles have seen since Oct. 20, 2015 when they were the 13th-ranked team in the country.

Coach Stephen Lyons' group is tied atop the South Atlantic Conference table with Wingate, who is receiving votes in the latest poll. The Eagles are 9-2-1 overall with a 5-1-1 clip in league action. They are also the top team in the Southeast Region per the United Soccer Coaches' latest regional poll.

The move into the top 15 comes after C-N notched its second-straight clean sheet on the year with a 3-0 win over Mars Hill on Oct. 16. The Eagles are now at four shutout wins this season.

C-N is leading the SAC in most statistical categories but it leads the country in shots per game at 19.67.

For a second-straight week, the Orange and Blue are the only SAC team in the top 25.

A week away from competition comes to an end for the Eagles as they head to Lander on Wednesday night, looking for its first double-digit wins season since 2015. The match from Greenwood, S.C. is set to begin at 7 p.m. Lander will provide live stats and a live stream of the contest while Twitter updates can be found from @CNathletics.
