ROCK HILL, S.C. – Carson-Newman's Zoriah Williams has been named the final South Atlantic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.

Williams averaged a double-double in leading Carson-Newman to a 2-0 week that helped the Lady Eagles secure the No. 5 seed in the SAC Championship.

Williams finished with 22 points and 18 rebounds on Wednesday at Lincoln Memorial, then totaled 11 points and 10 rebounds on Saturday at Anderson. She also added three steals on the week, and went 13-of-15 from the free-throw line.

The senior from Calera, Ala. will leave Carson-Newman with over 1,100 career points, which makes her 13th on the school's all-time scoring list, and she grabbed over 800 career rebounds, seventh on the school's all-time list.

This season, Williams is averaging 15.1 points and 9.1 rebounds per game.

Catawba's Keon Moore, the SAC's second-leading scorer in the regular season, averaged 30 points in a pair of wins for Catawba last week that earned the Indians a spot in the Food Lion SAC Basketball Championship.

On Wednesday against Mars Hill, Moore erupted for 33 points on an efficient 11-of-16 shooting.  He followed that up with 27 points in Catawba's regular-season finale versus Newberry.

He also averaged six rebounds, three steals and 2.5 assists per game last week.  The Colerain, N.C., native shot 59.4-percent from the field and 50-percent from long range in the two games.

The 2012 Food Lion SAC Basketball Championship gets underway on Wednesday with quarterfinal games at campus sites.  The Championship's semifinal and final rounds will take place on March 3-4 at Catawba Valley Community College in Hickory, N.C.
