Lady Eagles hosting "Play 4Kay" Game on Saturday

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - The Carson-Newman Lady Eagles basketball team will honor breast cancer survivors and benefit the Kay Yow Cancer Fund with "Pink Day" and "Play 4Kay Day" as the Lady Eagles host Wingate at Holt Fieldhouse on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.

The Play 4Kay initiative is an opportunity for a nation of coaches to raise breast cancer awareness and funds for research on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.

Since its inception in 2007, the Play 4Kay initiative has raised over $2.8 million to support women's cancer research. The Kay Yow Cancer Fund is the official charity of the initiative. We ask that you come out, attend our pinkout game, and show support for such a wonderful cause. At the game t-shirts will be sold and a raffle will be held.

To help raise money for this initiative, hot pink Play 4Kay t-shirts will be on sale through next Saturday. Suggested donations for the sale of t-shirts is $10. All proceeds will benefit the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.

Please contact Assistant Coach Ashley Tipton at atipton@cn.edu to purchase your shirt today and help support the fight against breast cancer.

The Lady Eagles will wear pink shoelaces and socks during their game against Wingate, and the coaching staff will be dressed in pink as well.
