JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman women's basketball coach Mike Mincey announced Tuesday afternoon that the annual Lady Eagle Basketball Camp will be held from June 11-14 at Holt Fieldhouse for second through eighth graders running from 9 a.m. to noon each day.

Players can expect individual instruction and drills for passing and receiving, ball handling, jump shooting and defensive fundamentals among other techniques. Grades two through five and six through eight will be separated to allow the groups to go at a different pace.

The cost per camper is 70 dollars and includes a t-shirt and the opportunity to win prizes throughout the week. Games will be played on a daily basis for further chances to win prizes.

It is an opportunity to learn from the nation's best as C-N spent the final 14 weeks of 2017-18 poll in the top 10 finishing the year ranked fifth, the highest ever for a SAC school.

Carson-Newman went to the program's first Elite Eight after capturing its first SAC regular season crown in 21 years, its second SAC Tournament title and first-ever Southeast Region Championship.

The Lady Eagles matched a school record with 32 wins on the year setting the SAC record in that category by four games. Other records that C-N now holds among SAC schools is most points in a year (3,180), points per game (90.9) and assists (702).

Mincey will serve as the camp director after being named the South Atlantic Conference Coach of the Year and Women's Basketball Coaches' Association Region Coach of the Year in 2017-18.

Assistant coach Tatum Burstrom, the program's all-time leader in three-pointers, will serve as one of the three instructors helping Mincey.

All-Americans Haris Price and Mika Wester will round out the crew. Price was a first-team All-American and named the SAC Player of the Year as a junior while Wester took home an All-American honor and SAC Tournament and NCAA Southeast Region Tournament MVPs.
