C-N concludes season with two more wins to sweep the Stevenson Sand Tournament

BALTIMORE, MD.—The Carson-Newman beach volleyball team wrapped up the season with two more wins Sunday afternoon at the Stevenson Sand Tournament as the Eagles took down Stevenson 4-1 and Morgan State 5-0 to sweep the last tournament of the season in 4-0 fashion.

"We have been looking forward to playing at Stevenson all season long. It gave us something to work toward and was a chance for us to finish our season with a couple of wins," assistant coach Kirby Toribio said following Sunday's matches. "We really stepped up to the challenge this weekend and I am proud of us for that. I applaud our team for coming focused and determined and thanks goes to Stevenson for hosting an incredible tournament and for letting us be a part of it."

The Eagles began the Stevenson Sand Tournament with a pair of 5-0 sweeps over Morgan State and Lincoln Memorial Saturday afternoon and notched wins No. 10 and 11 Sunday with wins over the Bears and Mustangs.
