Eagles head to Austin Peay for the Governors Beach Bash

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. -- After coming off of two straight weekends playing on their home courts, Carson-Newman heads to Clarksville, Tenn. for the Governors Beach Bash preparing to take on Austin Peay, Georgia State, and Eastern Kentucky.

The Eagles faced Eastern Kentucky in their first tournament at home just a couple weeks ago. In those matches, they earned their first wins as a program defeating the Colonels 5-0 and 4-1. Last season the Eagles traveled to Austin Peay to take on the Governors and came out winless after two days of competition. This season, the Govs are 12-12 overall. Georgia State is the only squad the Eagles have not faced in their history of being a program; the Panthers are 18-11 overall this season.

The Eagles will face Austin Peay Friday at 4 p.m., Georgia State Saturday at 1 p.m. and Eastern Kentucky Saturday at 3 p.m. For results and updates check back on cneagles.com.
