Lady Eagles host Coker in tomorrow's SAC match

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – The Carson-Newman (2-9, 0-6 SAC) women's soccer team prepares to host conference foe Coker (4-9, 2-5 SAC) tomorrow at 4:30 p.m.

The Eagles are coming off a hard 4-0 loss at Newberry last weekend. The Wolves went up 2-0 in the first half and finished it out with two more goals in the second. C-N is currently on a six-match losing streak and winless in the conference; the team's last win was Sept. 17 with a 3-0 final against King.

The Cobras sealed their second conference victory last Saturday against Mars Hill. Coker toppled the Mountain Lions 4-0 with goals two goals from Trah Monroe including the game winner and first goal in the 10th minute, one from Jenna Pacyna and the fourth from Jordan Roy in the 89th.

Coker defeated Lincoln Memorial 1-0 for its first conference win on Sept. 13. Monroe put in her first goal of the season to win the match for the Cobras.

Last Tuesday, Coker dropped Chowan 1-0 with a goal by Pacyna. Chowan fell 12-0 to the Eagles' in their 2011 home opener.

C-N and Coker ended in a 0-0 draw after 110 minutes and two overtimes last season.
