JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Due to a perilous amount of precipitation in the Palmetto State over the next 24 hours, Carson-Newman softball's twinbill at Erskine has been moved from Monday to Tuesday.
First pitch is still set for 1 p.m. The Eagles swept their season-opening twinbill Saturday with Lees-McRae in shutout fashion. Carson-Newman tallied a game one victory 8-0 via the run rule in five innings before collecting a 3-0 triumph in the night cap.
Erskine split its season-opening doubleheader with Wingate. The Fleet took a pitcher's duel in game one 3-1 before Wingate broke out the big bats for a 13-3 triumph in game two.
