JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - The threat of rain has moved Carson-Newman softball's doubleheader with Newberry to Monday. The Eagles and Wolves will play two at 1 p.m.
The matchup pits the third-ranked team in the region in Carson-Newman versus the sixth-ranked team in the region in Newberry. The matchup also has South Atlantic Conference title implications. Two wins by Carson-Newman keeps the Eagles in the hunt for a regular season crow with splits by Coker and Anderson, Queens and Mars Hill, and Catawba and LMU. Newberry needs one win to guarantee a share of the league crown.
