VIDEO: Carson-Newman Volleyball Hype Video
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - With the first serve of the 2018 season one week away, Carson-Newman volleyball unveiled its 2018 preseason hype video Friday morning. The Eagles are looking to make a trip to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in the last five years, a feat that has never happened in program history.
Coach Dave Franklin returns a wealth of talent including all-region libero Morgan Ballard (Weaverville, N.C.) and All-South Atlantic Conference selections Marnie Streeter (Goldvein, Va.) and Megan Oldenburger (Cedar Rapids, Iowa), both outside hitters. His group made the SAC title match and advanced to the NCAA Playoff in his second season at the helm.
The first three weekends of the season see C-N take the road before the unit opens the doors to Holt Fieldhouse on Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. against Wingate.
Belmont Abbey is the first foe on the ledger on Aug. 31 at noon in the SAC/Conference Carolinas Crossover played in Harrogate, Tenn. It will be the first of three over a two-day period for the Eagles. Follow along all season long by following @CarsonNewmanVB on Twitter and @cnvb_ on Instagram.
