All Phase, Hitting and Pitching Camp Brochure

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – The Silver Diamond Baseball Complex will be buzzing in mid-June as Carson-Newman coach Tom Griffin released the dates for the All Phase, Hitting and Pitching Camps Thursday morning.

Events ignite from June 10-13 from 9 a.m. to noon for players from ages six to 12 costing 125 dollars. It covers baseball skills from hitting and fielding to team defense and bunting.

The hitting camp runs June 17-18 and the pitching camp June 19-20. They are split into two sessions. The 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. session is for players ages 6-12, while the 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. session is geared toward high school players. Both sessions cost 75 dollars.

The hitting camp will work on all fundamentals and drills for hitting and bunting while the pitching camp will introduce drills and strength training specific for pitchers.

From a hitting perspective, the Eagles are coming off of a season where the club ranked in the top 25 in the country on-base percentage, slugging percentage and doubles while whacking 49 home runs, among the best rates in the nation.

On the mound, the pitching staff has been an elite strikeout club with three all-conference hurlers over the last two seasons including a Major League Baseball draft pick. The flamethrowers are punching out nearly 10 batters per nine innings over the last two campaigns.

To sign up, fill out the form in the brochure and mail with payment to the Carson-Newman baseball office. For more information, call 865-471-3465.
