Tucker is in his 29th season as a volunteer assistant coach at C-N.  He has spent more than 30 years coaching  at various high schools in East Tennessee with a short stent at Maryville College in 1973 and Liberty University in 1984.

A member of the 1972 C-N football team that played for the National Championship. Tucker, his wife Vicki and both his children Michael and Rachel are graduates of C-N.
