Strudwick wraps up Senior LPGA Championship sharing 36th

FRENCH LICK, Ind. – Carson-Newman women's golf coach Suzanne Strudwick used an 18-over 234 to finish in a tie for 36th at the Senior LPGA Championship on Wednesday.

The Eagles' mentor was one of the top 78 LPGA seniors to be competing in the 54-hole event.

She fired rounds of 82-75-77 through the three rounds. She survived the cut after 36 holes sitting in a tie for 36th at 13-over. Her second round featured a week-low five bogeys with a pair of bogeys to go three-over on the day.

In total, Strudwick carded 23 bogeys with five birdies through the 54 holes. She averaged a 219.83 driving distance throughout the tournament.

Strudwick now turns her attention to C-N's fall finale this coming week with a trip to the 17th Annual Flagler Fall Slam. The two-day tournament begins on Oct. 21 at the Marsh Creek Country Club in St. Augustine, Fla.
