For the second consecutive week Macauley Bailey wins TSWA Player of the Week
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Following a week where she notched 10 RBIs, senior first baseman Macauley Bailey (Cross Plains, Tenn.) has been named the Tennessee Sportswriters Association State Player of the Week, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.

This marks the second consecutive week that she has won this honor and the fourth time in her career.
In these past seven days, Bailey went 14-for-25 for a .560 average at the plate, while racking up 10 RBIs and six extra base hits in a 6-1 week for Carson-Newman. In the first game of the Triangle Classic, Bailey went 3-for-4 with five RBIs on two doubles and a walk in an 11-4 win over Davis & Elkins. In a 10-run top of the seventh, Bailey tied the game on a two-run double down the left field line in a 13-pitch at-bat.
On the season, Bailey leads the SAC with 30 RBIs, is second in batting average, .485, tied for third in extra base hits, 11, and fourth in on-base percentage, .557.
The senior has reached base in every game this season, and pushes her career-best on-base streak to 41 consecutive games dating back to March 18th of last season. The program leader in career RBIs now holds 220 following this weekend.
The Eagles continued their swing of games away from home with a non-region doubleheader on Wednesday at Lee (Gulf South). First pitch is slated for 2:00 p.m. in Cleveland, Tennessee, both games can be watched on FloSports ($).
