2015: Appeared in all 12 games for Carson-Newman.  Made 36 tackles with an interception, pass break up and blocked kick.  Had his interception at Limestone (10/31). He had a career high eight tackles against Wingate in an overtime win over the No. 21 Bulldogs (10/24).  He also made seven stops against Mars Hill (9/26).  

2014: Appeared in eight games for the Eagles en route to making 14 tackles with one stop behind the line of scrimmage.  He also broke up four passes.  Johnson saved his best performances for the end of the season. He made a career best six stops at Newberry (11/8) before tallying four in the regular season finale against Wingate (11/15).  He had his lone tackle for loss of the year against the Wolves.

High School: Named All-Region quarterback for the Ware County Gators as a junior and senior... Led the Indians to two region championships and a state title appearance in 2013. Set school rushing record with 856 career yards. Coached by Ed Dudley.

Personal: Uncle, Mark Smith Jr., played football at Carson-Newman... Plans to major in Education... Son of Arnetria Doe.
