Nick Reveiz enters his fourth year on the Carson-Newman coaching staff and his first as linebackers coach after spending his first two seasons coaching running backs.

Reveiz coached both Damian Baker and Andy Hibbett during their Harlon Hill trophy finalist campaigns.  Both players were consensus All-Americans.

In his first go around at Mossy Creek, Reveiz oversaw a trio of tailbacks in Brandon Baker, Tyron Douglas and Andy Hibbett who combined to gain 2,888 yards.  Baker and Douglas were both All-South Atlantic Conference selections while Baker would go on to earn All-Region accolades.

A former walkon and three-time Academic All-SEC selection at Tennessee, Reveiz finished his playing career with the Vols in 2010 with a 108-tackle season, including a career high 14-tackle performance in the Music City Bowl versus North Carolina.

Reveiz's father Fuad was a Vols placekicker before an 11-year NFL career in which he kicked 188 field goals and 367 extra points.  After spending time as a businessman, Reveiz said he had to jump at the opportunity to get back into the sport with which he grew up.

"I love football, I've got a passion for it," Reveiz said. "It's been a part of me since I was six and watching my dad play growing up.  My wife and I prayed specifically for one door to open.  That door was Carson-Newman.  I don't think that was by chance, I think that was by the Lord's leading."

His senior year at UT, he was one of five finalists for inaugural Burlsworth Trophy, recognizing college football's most outstanding player who began career as walk-on.  Reveiz was also one of 10 Vols to start every 2010 game and was the first Vols defender to post at least 14 tackles in three different games since Jerod Mayo in 2007.
A two-time team captain for the Vols, he earned preseason all-SEC honors from the media prior to his senior season.
Graduated with a degree in enterprise management.

A high school standout at Farragut, Reveiz was Class 5A All-State in 2005 and Mr. Football finalist at lineman position.

Reveiz and his wife Brittany (ne Baird) live in Farragut, Tenn. with their sons Zane and Zeb.
