High School: Wood was a state qualifier and MVP all four years of high school for swimming. She was the captain of her swim and cross country teams all four years. She swam and ran cross country and track in high school.

Personal: Wood was Biology/Chemistry Student of the Year. She also received the Agnes Scott Book Award for Leadership and Academic Excellence. She is the daughter of Russell and Stacey Wood and is majoring in biology.
