Charlie Munroe begins his ninth year as an assistant coach.
Munroe will work with the hitters and outfielders, as well as
help with recruiting. Under his tutelage, leftfielder Bo
Ausmus earned a Gold Glove and All-SAC accolade from the conference
in 2014.
Munroe was a All-State performer in baseball at Newton High
School (N.J.) as well as a standout wrestler. He attended Sussex
Community College (NJ) and was named All-American as a designated
hitter after his sophomore season.
A two year starter at first base for Carson Newman, Munroe
batted .347 with a .487 on base percentage his first year with the
Eagles in 2004. After a medical redshirt, Charlie was named 2nd
team All-Conference, after hitting .372 with 41 RBI's and a league
leading .497 on base percentage.

Charlie is a native of Newton, New Jersey, graduated with a
degree in Physical Education in 2005 and received his Masters in
Counseling from Carson-Newman in 2010.
