Matt begins his fourth year as an Assistant Coach, working with the hitters and infielders. Matt was a three year starter at first base for conference foe Mars Hills College, graduating with a degree in Sports Management. He would help the Lions to the championship of the conference tournament and most wins in school history following his JR year. Carter batted .326 in 52 games and lead all hitters in HR's and OBP for the year. He also led all hitters in doubles and HBP following his SR year.

Matt is a native of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and graduated from Archbishop McCarthy HS.  He will finish his Masters in Education at Carson Newman in the spring.
