HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Mainland High School in Oak Hill, Fla., where he was coached by John Maronto. Played football, basketball, and ran track at Mainland. Earned All-County and All-Area honors at running back. Was also named the Most Oustanding Running Back for his school and was an All-State honorable mention. Played on the 2008 and 2009 Disctrict Champion teams, including his senior year squad that went 10-0 in the regular season. Member of the Honor Roll all four years at Mainland.

PERSONAL: Son of Darry and Evelyn Evans. Plans to major in Education at Carson-Newman. Related to Darren Evans, a running back at Virginia Tech, Josh Evans, a safety at the University of Florida, as well as Daryl Dixon, a safety at the University of Florida.
