HIGH SCHOOL: Attended East Lake High School in Chula Vista, Calif. Played football, basketball, and baseball. Was named the team Defensive Player of the Year as he led the squad with 97 tackles, four and a half sacks, three interceptions, and he caused six fumbles with a pair of fumble recoveries.

PERSONAL: Son of Rolando and Elena Jarin. Plans to major in Business at Carson-Newman.
