HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Lebanon High School in Lebanon, Tenn. where he was coached by Troy Crane. Played football, basketball, and was part of the track and wrestling teams. Served as team captain as a junior and senior, and was All-District as a junior in 2010. Named Defense Most Valuable Player in 2010, and was Team Most Valuable Player in 2011. Led the team in tackles in his final two seasons, acculating 184 tackles in those years. Started on both sides of the ball and was also a long-snapper. Was in the top 10 percent of his class academically and won the National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Award.

PERSONAL: Son of Mike and Debbie Sloan. Plans to major in Pre-Dentistry at Carson-Newman.
