2014:  Hibbett was the Daktronics, Beyond Sports Network and Don Hansen Super Region II Offensive player of the Year. He became the third Carson-Newman player to make it the final round of the Harlon Hill Trophy voting. Quarterback Leonard Guyton was a finalists in 2002, while Tyrone Westmoreland was the first Harlon Hill finalists for C-N in 1997.  Mars Hill running back Jonas Randolph is the only South Atlantic Conference player to win the award – doing so in 2011.  Hibbett also earned first team All-America honors from the Beyond Sports Network and second team accolades from Daktronics and AP Little All-America.  He was an honorable mention All-America from D2Football.com.  Hibbett produced a season for the ages for the Eagles. Hibbett set a school record by rushing for more than 100 yards in eight consecutive games.  His 1,394 yards on the season are the eighth highest tally in school history.  Hibbett secured his spot in the Eagle record books.  With 37 career rushing touchdowns, he moved past Brandon Baker and Antwon Oliver and into sole possession of sixth place on the all-time rushing TD list.  He also winds up with 3,208 career rushing yards.  That mark is also the eighth best in school history.   Hibbett scored multiple touchdowns in seven games, including a pair of four-touchdown days.   He is a two-time SAC offensive Player of the Week, three-time Bojangles Male Athlete of the Week and earned Tennessee Sportswriters Association Offensive Player of the Week honors once.  Following the season, he earned first team All-SAC honors. Hibbett ranked sixth in the nation in rushing yards per game and 10^th in scoring.  He had 18 TDs in his senior season – 16 on the ground and two through the air. Hibbett led C-N in rushing in six games and produced four games where he rushed for at least 180 yards.   With 30 carries and 221 yards against Tusculum, Hibbett had the 14^th-best single game rushing yard tally in school history and its 32^nd 200-yard rushing performance.  Throughout the season, Hibbett credited his line. Against Mars Hill, the senior only had 191 yards and three TDs on seven carries. His 27.3 yards per rush is the second highest total among running backs with more than five carries in a game. Hibbett's three touchdowns all came in the second half and helped put the game out of reach.  His first score came on a 58-yard dive, his second on a 65-yard scamper and his third on a 55-yard pitch that started to the right and finished with Hibbett meandering his way back left across the field to the pylon for a score. Hibbett is Carson-Newman's 12^th All-American running back.  He joins Rodney Wampler (71), Van Williams (81), Hugh Rutledge (82), Kenneth Tyson (84 & 87), Robert Hardy (90), Floyd Mathis (91), Robert Thomas (91), Tyrone Westmoreland (97), Randy Bell (02), Buck Wakefield (09) and Brandon Baker (12).  Hibbett joins Kevin Day ('12), Steve Mellon ('95), current C-N defensive coordinator Mike Clowney ('96), former Washington Redskin and Houston Texan Cedric Killings ('99), Clay Clevenger ('00), Michael Rigdon ('01) and Reggie Perkins ('03) as the Eagles landing on five All-America teams.

2013: Carson-Newman's fourth leading rusher in his junior season, Hibbett carried the ball 469 times for 837 yards to go along with nine touchdowns.  He also caught nine passes for 150 yards and a touchdown.  Hibbett had two, 100-yard games, when he carried the ball 15 times to hit the century mark on the nose against North Greenville (10/26).  He also set a career high with two catches for 52 yards that game.  He also caught his first career touchdown pass against the Crusaders.  Hibbett also crested the century mark against Mars Hill (10/5) with 14 carries for 132 yards.  He had multiple touchdowns against Tusculum (10/19), Brevard (9/21) and Mars Hill.  Set his career long for a run against Wingate (11/16) in the regular season finale with a 54-yard scamper for a score. 

2012: C-N's fourth leading rusher in his sophomore season.  Toted the ball 111 times for 652 yards.  Only had two negative rushes all year.  Scored eight touchdowns while averaging 5.9 yards a touch and 54.3 a game.  Had a long run of 40 yards.  Played in all 12 games, with four starts.  Made six special teams tackles - including a career high three solo stops against Catawba (10/6).  Rushed for a career high 161 yards in a 66-36 route of Tusculum (11/3) on 23 carries - also a career high.  Had a pair of score against both the Pioneers and North Greenville (10/13).  Caught his first career pass for 23 yards in the Eagles' playoff victory over Lenoir-Rhyne (11/24).  His only 100-yard game of the year came against Tusculum, but he surpassed 75 yards on four occasions - Glenville State (8/30), Brevard (10/27) and Mars Hill (11/10).   

2011: Saw action in all 11 games and was the team’s most productive freshman running back, gaining 328 yards and scoring four touchdowns… Carried 10 times for 91 yards and a score against Catawba (10/08)… Had a career-high 107 yards and a touchdown against Mars Hill (11/12) in the final game of the season.

HIGH SCHOOL: A record-setting running back for Brad Conley at Gibbs High School, Hibbett is the Eagles' all-time career leader in touchdowns with 51 and rushing yards with 3,516.  He set single season records with 2,326 yards on the ground and 30 touchdowns his senior year.  Also holds the single game marks for touchdowns with five and rushing yards with 333.  A two sport athlete, he also played baseball and is the single season leader in stolen bases with 41.  As a football player, Hibbett was a two-time all-district selection and two-time All-K.I.L pick.  In 2009, he earned district offensive player of the year honors while taking home All-Prep-xtra first team, all-state and district player of the year awards his senior season.  In that year, he helped Gibbs to a district title and a third round appearance in the state playoffs.  His baseball honors are equally numerous and include a 2010 AA state championship.  Hibbett's a two-time all-district, all-K.I.L and all-Prep-Xtra First team selection.  He earned all-state honors his senior year.  

PERSONAL: Son of Susan and John Hibbett, he's majoring in physical education at C-N.  His father played football at the University of Tennessee, seeing action in 31 games as an offensive guard.  His father now is an SEC official.  Hibbett's aunt, Carol (Zachary) Mitchell, is the only three-time first team All-American in Carson-Newman's softball history.  Born June 21, 1992.  He lives in a house in Jefferson City with the Eagles' unofficial mascot Carl - a black lab.
