Josh Bookbinder enters his second year in Mossy Creek this spring.

Bookbinder, who spent the 2009 season as Assistant Director of Football Operations and Defensive Quality Control at the University of Richmond, is taking over as special teams coordinator and will be assisting with the defensive ends for the 2011 season.

Bookbinder, a 2009 graduate of Baylor, worked with the Bears' linebackers as an undergraduate assistant from 2007-08.

Bookbinder then moved on to Richmond, where he helped lead the Spiders to an 11-2 record in 2009, including a Colonial Athletic Association title and a berth in the national quarterfinals. The San Antonio, Texas, native worked with the Richmond secondary under Spiders defensive coordinator Vic Shealy, who is the son of former C-N head coach Dal Shealy.

Bookbinder resides in Jefferson City.
